Crazy 4 Challenges!

Hi again!  I have another card to post!  I've been wanting to get some stamping done but time has not been on my side until now!  So here's another...I want in on the prize for Crazy 4 Challenges this week...because as you know, I LOVE GF stamps!!!  Here's Edward.  I colored him with watercolor pencils and a white gel pen.  The paper is BG.  The sentiment is from SU.  The sketch is from Crazy 4 Challenges and the other part of the challenge is "non holiday."  This card also fits CRAFT's thank you challenge,  and Crafty Cardmaker's "favorites" challenge.  Greeting Farm are my favorite stamps and distressing is one of my favorite techniques!  So that's all!  Thanks for coming by again :)   Hope to see you again real soon!

Babysitting project

Hi there again!  I just wanted to post a little project I did with the kids I babysit for.  We made snowglobes out of Polar fruit jars.  I stamped the images the kids chose with Stazon on acetate.  They colored them with Sharpie markers and cut out the images.  We filled the jars with baby oil and each child chose the glitter colors they wanted.  We glued the images in two of them and let them free float in the other two.  Then the kids chose the ribbons they wanted to decorate the outsides of the jars.  I hot glued and superglued the lids shut and then hotglued the ribbon around the lids and the tops of the jars.  The kids are ages 1, 2, 6 and 8. I can honestly say, I have NEVER seen kids so excited about a project before!  They had a blast and were so proud :)  It's times like this I miss being a toddler teacher!  Thanks for looking!

Anyone for Anya?

Hello and Welcome!  Today I have a card I made for the Anyone for Anya challenge.  It was a sketch challenge.  I used my new Dress Me Anya stamp.  The papers are DCWV.  The sentiment is from SU's "Noteworthy" set.  I love the colors of this!  I colored Anya with watercolor pencils.  This card also fits challenges at:

Anyone for Anya: Sketch
Charisma Cardz:  Anything but Christmas
Creative Card Crew:  Anything goes
Crafty Creations:  No rules
Inky Impressions:  Embossing, glitter

That's it for now :)  Thanks for stopping by!

Lots to post...

Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas/Happy Holiday season!  Mine was great!  Lots of time with lots of special people.  It's always sad to see it end.  But I did want to post all of the projects I made (minus one-somehow forgot to photograph one of them and it was so cute!!)  Anyway, I made cards for each niece, nephew and brother as well as my older brother's mother. Don't get confused...the older ones are half brothers!  Anyway, I have a few to post.  The first is one I did for my 2 year old niece, Kali.  The second is for her 7 year old brother, Kam.  The third is for my nephew Blake and his wife Laura. The fourth is for my nephew, Chase.  And the fifth was for my brother and sister-in-law. I did have 2 others that I made, but one I can't post until the second week of January...so come back and see!  The other, like I said, I forgot to photograph! So anyway, I'm not going to go into much detail as there are so many of them and it's late. Thanks for stopping by and please check below to see which challenges I entered.  Good night!

Challenges:

Cupcake Craft:  Celebration
Creative Card Crew:  Anything goes
Tuesday Taggers:  Let it Snow
Crafty Creations:  No rules

Hi All!  Happy Friday!  I'm so glad it is!  Today at Stamp Something, the challenge is Glitzy!  We want to see glitter, gems, sparkle, etc!  I went with lots of glitter and sparkle! Our sponsor this week is Paper Maniac!  I decided to use an image they sell, so I used the Whimsy Mice.  I cut out the letters and free hand drew in the word "Merry."  I colored the 2 brown mice with water color pencils. The center mouse was colored with a silver glitter gel pen and water color pencil. The paper is BG.  I used a "rustic" stocking charm and a Prima with a jeweled brad to embellish...and a MS Snowflake punch to make the snowflake which I covered with chunky white glitter.  If you like this, please visit the DT to see what else they came up with!  Also, if you like the Whimsy Mice, stop over at Whimsy and check out the Advent Event!  You could win some Whimsy Stamps!

Happy Monday!  What a day today is going to be after a nice long weekend!  Ahhh.  Well it also means that we have a new challenge for you over at Whimsy Stamps!  We are having a Monochromatic challenge this week!  I went with a blue color pallet (the picture is not true colors...I couldn't get it to look the same!) and the Whimsy Hippo!  The layout is from Lili of the Valley. Everybody Art Challenge, Charisma Cardz, and Stamp, Scrap & Doodle wanted a Christmas card.  Ildi Co wanted a Christmas song inspired card.  Though it's hard to see, mine says in silver "I want a hippopotamus..."  and inside says "For Christmas!"  ABC was I for Indigo blue...I didn't have indigo, so I went with shades of blue. Fun with Shapes and more was monochrome blue.  That's it for now! Please, jump on over and visit the rest of the DT's pages and shop Whimsy!  Come back tomorrow to learn more about the Whimsy December Advent Event!

Gift card holder and...

Hello again!  Today I had some down time and decided to try my hand at a few challenges. First I did a gift card holder.  I wanted it to look like a gift bag since I knew there was a gift bag challenge going on (except I didn't use the right image!)  :)  I cut a strip of cardstock at 3.5" and scored it 1" on one end and cut 1" on the other end, then scored again at 4.25" at from each end.  I folded along the score lines.  I cut with decorative edge scissors on the outer flap.  I punched through the 3 layers with the Crop-a-Dile and then affixed silver eyelets on each hole.  For the front, I decorated with BG paper. The image is from SU.  The flower was made using a SU flower punch and a jeweled brad.  On the inside, I used the slit punch to make the gift card holder.  Finally, I closed it with a piece of hemp twine.

The next card is a Christmas card.  I decided to dig through some old stamps and found this tree and the sentiment.  I used the sketch from BG.  The paper is Eskimo Kisses.  Isn't it adorable?  I, of course, had to add glitter and sparkle :)  And I just love these brads!

Gift card holder fits the following challenges:  Cupcake Craft-Gift card holder, Pollycraft-Christmas, Everybody Art Challenge-Christmas,  Charisma Cardz-Anything Christmas, Colour Create-Red, green, and white, C.R.A.F.T.-Christmas gift, Papercutz-Anything goes, Crazy 4 Challenges-Punch happy and Stamp, Scrap & Doodle-Christmas.

Card fits the following challenges:  Pollycraft-Christmas, Everybody Art Challenge-Christmas, Charisma-Anything Christmas, Colour Create-Red, green and white, Basic Grey-Sketch (and BG papers), Secret Crafter- Christmas trees, Stamp Scrap & Doodle-Christmas, Bizzy Bec's-Christmas and lots of sparkle.

So that's it for now!  I'm enjoying my long weekend...although I'm not happy it's almost over :(  Anyway, I hope to have more tomorrow!  Have a great night!

Weekend Stamping!

Hello there!  I hope all of you in the states had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  I have a great time with my parents, my brother and one of my second cousins.  It was a great day!  Today I am posting a couple of cards I've made over the last week or so that I haven't had a chance to post.  The first is a non-traditional Christmas card.  I was looking for an excuse to use my Surfer Ian GF stamp, so I thought a little taste of Hawaii would be a good choice.  I followed the sketch for Aly's Sunday Sketch.  I used my favorite brand of stamp to fit the "favorite things" challenge at Creative Card Crew. Creative Belli wanted to see chipboard.  Charisma Cardz, Stamp, Scrap and Doodle, Pollycraft, Everybody Art and Bizzy Bec's all wanted to see Christmas (Bizzy Bec's also wanted lots of sparkle which is in his hair...all glittered with a gel pen!)  Ildi Co wanted a Christmas song inspired card (Mele Kalikimaka). PaperCutz said "anything goes!" Allsorts wanted buttons.  And I believe that's it for that one!

The next card is a birthday card for my nephew, Kam.  His hero is my nephew, Blake, who is in the military.  So he loves anything military.  I went with Soldier Ian.  I tried to do browns and greens to make it as boyish as possible.  The sentiment is printed on the computer.  I used an old sketch I found as the inspiration.  It fits the buttons challenge at Allsorts, Creative Card Crew's favorite things (I love GF stamps!), La La Land wanted to see 3 papers, 2 cardstocks and 1 embellishment, Cute Card was something for boys, PaperCutz was anything we want, Saturday Spotlight was hats (helmet count??) and Anyone for Anya was "fake it" (faux stitching).

Thanks for stopping by today!  See you again soon!

Whimsy Monday!

Happy Monday!  Thanks for stopping by today!  Today at Whimsy, the challenge is Christmas!  We'd love to see your Christmas creations!  I went with this adorable new Whimsy image, "Purrfect Gift."  I colored it with watercolor pencils and some glitter gel pens.  I also used another new Whimsy stamp from the Holiday postmark set.  I'm feeling so festive with all of these Christmas cards...I'm so excited for the holidays!  Thanks for stopping by and please remember to stop in on the rest of the DT to see more!

This card works with these challenges:
A Spoon full of Sugar:  Baby's 1st Christmas/preschooler Christmas
Crafty Creations: Metallics
Simon Says: Animal antics
Colour Create:  Red, green, white, Christmas
Fun with Shapes and More:  Gift as image
Kraftin' Kimmie: Merry Christmas
Bizzy Bec's: Christmas and sparkle
Pollycraft:  Christmas

Some challenges...

Hi there...I will make this quick since I have little time to chat ;)  This weekend I was a stampin' fool!  I made some challenge entries.  This first card-with the bear-fits Charisma Cardz sketch.  It's perfect for the baby's 1st Christmas theme at A Spoon Full of Sugar too.  Christmas is the theme at Kraftin' Kimmie's and Bizzy Bec's also...with an element of Sparkle on Bec's.  Creative Inspirations also wanted to see sparkle.  Simon Says featured "Animal Antics."

The second and third pics are of my Flutterby Anya card.  I created this card using the sketch from The Crafty Pad.  She also fits the recipe for Stamp With Us with 2 papers, 3 brads and one stamp.  Die Cuts wanted girly, and Danni's likes butterflies.  And Creative Inspirations again, with the sparkle!

Finally, I have a thank you card I whipped up for my mom.  She recently bailed me out of a major bind with a sick animal.  I just wanted to give her a little thank you.  This card was for the PTW sketch.  La-La Land has a Thankful theme.

So that's all for now!  Thanks for looking :)  Happy Stamping!

It's another Whimsy Challenge!

Hope everyone had a good weekend! At Whimsy this week, we have another challenge for you.  Anything but a card!  Simple, right?  Hahaha!  Well let's see what you come up with!  I made a little luminary.  I saw a tutorial on SCS, so I decided to try my own.  I bought some bags at the dollar store in the wedding section.  They were too flimsy, but I opened one and used it as a template. I used a SU wheel to stamp the pine boughs with Versa Mark and then heat embossed with white powder.  I then cut holes using a circle cutter and template.  I taped scraps of vellum inside.  The image is one of the newer Whimsy winter raccoons.  I colored with watercolor pencils and tacky glue and chunky white glitter on the snowy parts.  I adhered them with 3D foam squares.  Finally, I tied a bow and attached the charm with a snowflake brad.  Too cute, huh?  Thanks for checking it out and I hope you look at all the fabulous DT projects!  Happy Monday!

Happy Friday!  And thanks for stopping by!  Today at Stamp Something, the challenge is a recipe...for love!  We're still spreading the love and hugs to Jaimie Cates...if you don't yet know the story, please visit the Stamp Something...for Jaimie blog.  And please join us on the blog hop that ends Monday at 10am EST.  Now, on to the recipe!  Today we'd like to see 1 ribbon, 2 papers and 3 embellishments!  Our sponsor this week is Mo from Mo's Digital Pencil.  She has some of THE cutest images to choose from!  This is Bismarck...I just fell in love with him (mainly because he's a dog :))  I used a Christmas paper for the backing and a textured red paper for the background circle.  The image is colored with watercolor pencils and Stickles.  I turned it into a shaker card by adding a sheet of acetate and taping it to the back.  I put about a tsp of white snow glitter.  I glued to the red circle.  The top is a wooden letter tag flipped over and rubbed with cocoa ink and gold glitter.  The charm is a rustic stocking that says NOEL. The sentiment is from SU.  The roses from Joann.  Thanks for stopping by and please check out the AMAZING projects our DT came up with!  This card also fits the following challenges:

More Love for Jaimie!

Hello Everyone!  I am putting this post up for the children I babysit for!  They all wanted to help spread some love to Jaimie and they put their hearts into art!  Here's their work:

The first picture is a card by Chelsey, age 2.  The next 3 pictures are of the first card Isabelle, age 9 made.  It's the front, inside and back.  The next 2 pics are a book that Owen, age 6 made.  He made tons of pages, but those two were the ones he worked the hardest on :)  And the final 3 are the second card Isabelle made.  It touched my heart to see them working so hard and they are very excited to know that they are going to someone special!  I am so happy they wanted to help!  They are wonderful kids!

Thanks for stopping by and please come again :)  Visit this blog too:
