A Birthday Wish

Hello and Welcome back! This evening I am posting a card I made for my step-dad's birthday which fits the challenge for Our Creative Corner and Kaboodle Doodles. I followed the Truly Scrumptious sketch, however again, I did not follow the color criteria. The OCC challenge was to use 3 embellishments 3 times each! Kaboodle's challenge was buttons and bows. My 3 items were raffia ribbon, brads, and buttons. But just for good measure, I have 3 punched flowers as well. The image is the Whimsy Stamps bear from the animal collection. The DSP is from Rusty Pickle. The sentiment is from SU. Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas in July...again!

The first day we hit the mid-80's, so I was wishing for cooler weather! Soooo...I jumped in on the Stamp Something sketch challenge and decided to make it work for The Pink Elephant Challenge of Red, Light Blue and Darker Blue as well as Whimsy Challenge and Cute Card Thursday which were both Christmas in July! I used the Whimsy seal and colored him with white and gray watercolor pencils. I embellished with half pearls and felt snowflakes and a mitten. I used the CB swirls and dots folders to emboss the blue papers and the base is a DSP Christmas paper. The hat is embellished with white ice stickles. Thanks for stopping by!

Cat Card

Hello there! Thanks for coming back...again! Today I made a card that covers several challenges. To start it covers the sketch from Papertake Weekly. The theme for Kaboodle Doodles is buttons and bows, the theme from Lili of the Valley is animals, and One Stop Craft is furry things. Our Creative corner is pets. And ABC Challenge is Windows. So...I stamped a cat, put a bow on it's ear, glued some buttons on the sides of a chipboard frame (decorated with a DSP)that I used as a window. I love the simplicity of the sketch with this color combo. And I am impressed at how many challenges it covered this week! Hope you enjoy it! Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin' Party!

Hello! Thanks for stopping by today! I am posting some pics of cards I made at a Stampin' Up workshop party last night. Obviously, these are not completely my ideas, but I did put my own twist on each! The first two cards were using some new SU stamps which were fun! The third card, I had a few mishaps, so I took the card home and stamped butterfly, colored it and cut it out and glammed it up with some glitter and made it 3-D to cover some smudges. I think it made the card! Thanks for checking them out :)

Two for today

Today I am posting an experiment. I decided to try out a tutorial from SCS I got in an email about a month or so ago. It's a backpack. I followed a template and cut out three different DSP's. I think this is the cutest little thing! I wish I had better pics! It was my first attempt, so it's not perfect. But it was not that difficult! It's the perfect size to put some little do-dad's in.

Next is a card I made for the Mojo Monday sketch challenge. I used some more of my new favorite papers and an image given to me by a friend. I colored her with watercolor pencils. Thanks for stopping by and checking me out :) Happy creating!
