Stamp Something to Celebrate!

Happy Friday!  What a reason to celebrate! It's the weekend!  At Stamp Something today, we are having a celebration sponsored by Motivet

This is "Doraline Surprise."  Isn't she a cutie?  She's colored with Copics. I decided to make this little favor box (or decorate this little favor box!) with some Basic Grey paper, yellow lace ribbon, rhinestones and a handmade flower (a little rough, but it's a new technique for me).

This view shows the metal painted sentiment and the flower up close. The branches were punched and the leaves are Prima tropicals.  Thanks for stopping by today and please visit the entire DT for more fun!

Challenges:
Cuttlebug Spot: Flowers (die cut flowers for handmade flower were embosses with Textile folder)
Lala Land: Anything goes
Pixie Dust Studio: Cut it out (image cut out)
Stamp, Scrap & Doodle: Anything but a card

Creative Card Crew Sketch

Thanks for stopping over today!  We have a fun sketch challenge over at Creative Card Crew this time!  Our sponsor is the fabulous:

This weeks sponsor is Simon Says Stamp:

and the prize is a $20 gift certificate.

So here's the sketch:

And here's my rendition:

This is one of my newest stamps--Greeting Farm's "Fleur Anya." I just love her flowing hair and the pretty blossoms paired with the cute dress.  I just immediately envisioned yellow.  So I went with a yellow base card and the papers are SEI "Windsor." I layered with dark brown textured card, stitched in black.  The flowers are a combination of Primas and stuff from my stash.  I used a branch punch and half pearl buttons and yellow rhinestones to finish it off.  "Anya" is colored with Copics and a white gel pen for highlights. The sentiment is Whimsy Stamps.

Thanks for dropping in.  Please visit the rest of the DT and have a great day!

Challenges:
Polka Doodles- Summer Blossoms
The Pink Elephant- Yellow, DP and Buttons (half pearl buttons)

Mother's Day Wishes and Sharing my Workspace

Happy Mother's Day!  So glad to see you! I hope each and everyone of you is spending this special day with your special lady, whether it be your mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, daughter or granddaughter!  Enjoy it!

Today I am sharing a post I just did for the Whimsy Inspirations Blog.  Sundays are now "Share your workspace," day. So I posted this pic to show just how little space I destroy each day :)

I wish I had more room to spread out...but I have a huge desk on the other side of the room for the computer...the sewing machine is on a rolling cart...and in the middle is my bedroom furniture.  Someday...I'll have a whole room :)

Next, I'll show you the card I made for my Mom.  I used the new "Three Little Pigs," digi image for Whimsy by MelJen Designs.  Isn't it adorable?!  They are colored with Copics.  The sentiment is from Raindrop Echo Designs for Whimsy and it's "Three Pigs Sentiments."  My mom LOVES pigs, so I thought this would be perfect!

Thanks so much for stopping by today to visit! Enjoy your day today!
