Stamp Something Friday :)

Happy Friday!  Boy am I glad this is the end of the week!  I worked on the "holiday" on Monday this week, but I have next Monday off!  So this week was worth the trouble :)  Today is the newest challenge at Stamp Something!  We want to see BLING!  So I made this snazzy card using my newest Greeting Farm image!  She's such a little Diva!  I started with the sketch from Sketch Saturday. I used all sorts of bling for this!  I used some red glue on rhinestones, glittered DP, sequined ribbon, Stickles and the silver sentiment.  The embellies are button brads and Prima's.  I also CB'd the red pieces with D'vine Swirls.  The sentiment is set on a scalloped and circle punch.  "Megan" is colored with watercolor pencils, Stickles, white gel pen and black journaling pen (to try and fix the bleeding!) I love the bold colors and this card screams fun!  Hope you love it as much as I do :)  Please run over to check out the rest of the DT samples!  Have a great Friday!

This card fits the following challenges:

Sketch Saturday:  Sketch
Everybody Art:  Shape or Punches
Creative Card Crew:  Scallops
Stamp Something:  Bling
One Stop Crafts:  Birthdays

Second post...

Hi again!  Here's the second card I promised.  I made this to fit a few challenges and see what else I could do without all of my own tools and embellishments.  So here it is! I used the sketch from Sketch and Stash.  I followed the SPCC "Finally Friday" challenge of "Flowers." Everybody Art Challenge was "Shape or Punches," and I used flower punches.  My Time to Craft was Quick and Cute and a DT call!  This card, though following a sketch challenge, was super quick to put together, and I don't know about you, but I think it's cute :)  ABC challenge is "F is for Flying," and butterflies fly!  Gingersnap was brads. Three Clovers is "nature." Bizzy Bec's was scrap DP's and handmade flowers.  I think that's all!  I'm done for the evening, but please come on back tomorrow morning for my Stamp Something project!  Have a fantastic night!

Experimenting away from home...

So I was dog-sitting for my friend's parents for a couple of days.  I didn't bring any of my "creating supplies" with me except for my colored pencils and Xacto knife.  I raided the supplies in her mother's stamping stash and came up with a couple of cards.  This one is the one I sent to Giovana on the Stamp Something DT for her neighbor, Bekah, whom she is doing a card drive for.  Please check out Giovana's blog for more info on brightening the day of a young girl! I wanted a cute and cuddly image, so the Whimsy bear stamp fit the bill.  The Basic Grey papers give it a cozy "quilt" feel too!  Hope she likes it :)

So the card:

Stamp With Fun:  Sketch
SPCC- Finally Friday-Flowers
Pollycraft-Tangerine, Turquoise and Chocolate (I used the closest colors I had!)
Gingersnap-Brads
Charisma Cardz- Distressing (the center strip was distressed with scissors on the edges)
Three Clovers- Nature (the bear...may be a stretch :))

Thanks for stopping by today!  Come back later for another piece I did...and tomorrow for a new Stamp Something Challenge!

Let's Get Punchy!

Another Monday and another Whimsy Challenge!  This week, we'd love to see you use punches on your piece!  I used the sketch from Papertake Weekly for my project.  I went with a Christmas theme and used the Whimsy Penguin and Seal stamp as the main image.  I stamped a misc. Santa hat I had and cut out to embellish these guys!  The sentiment is from a miscellaneous set I got from mail order. I used the SU tag punch for the sentiment as well.  The ribbon is from Joann's.  I used SU flower punches to create the 3 flowers as well as the tree in the background.  The glue on jewels "bling up" the whole thing!  The background paper is from Rusty Pickle.  The Creative Card Crew challenge was "Celebrations."  I believe Christmas fits :)  And Saturday Spotlight was "Dress up a Tree!" Thanks for stopping by and please remember to check out the rest of the Whimsy DT work!  Happy Monday :)
