Lots to post...

Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas/Happy Holiday season!  Mine was great!  Lots of time with lots of special people.  It's always sad to see it end.  But I did want to post all of the projects I made (minus one-somehow forgot to photograph one of them and it was so cute!!)  Anyway, I made cards for each niece, nephew and brother as well as my older brother's mother. Don't get confused...the older ones are half brothers!  Anyway, I have a few to post.  The first is one I did for my 2 year old niece, Kali.  The second is for her 7 year old brother, Kam.  The third is for my nephew Blake and his wife Laura. The fourth is for my nephew, Chase.  And the fifth was for my brother and sister-in-law. I did have 2 others that I made, but one I can't post until the second week of January...so come back and see!  The other, like I said, I forgot to photograph! So anyway, I'm not going to go into much detail as there are so many of them and it's late. Thanks for stopping by and please check below to see which challenges I entered.  Good night!

Cupcake Craft:  Celebration
Creative Card Crew:  Anything goes

Whimsy Challenge AND Whimsy Advent Event!

Happy Monday!  Christmas is so close...my goodness that snuck up fast!  Today I have a post to celebrate the Whimsy Advent Event! The prize for today's giveaway is Whimsy Pet Friends (see pic bottom right)!

I did my card to fit the challenge at Whimsy's blog which is Chipboard!  So I went with the Whimsy Polar Bear.  I colored him with a white snow pen and heated it and watercolor pencils.  I used the layout from Friday Sketchers.  This card is for one of my nieces.  I didn't want another Christmas card, but a wintery one.  The sentiment is from a wooden block set I got from AC Moore.

This card fits the following challenges:

Creative Card Crew:  Anything goes
Charisma Cardz:  Anything but Christmas
C.R.A.F.T.:  Free for all
Rainbow Lady:  Deer or Large Animals
Friday Sketchers:  Sketch
Pile It On:  Chipboard

Thanks for stopping by today and please don't forget to visit the other DT members for inspiration.  And sign Mr. Linky for a chance to win the Advent prize of the day!  Winner will be drawn tomorrow at 5PM EST.  Thanks and Happy Holidays!

GDT with the Crafty Pad!

Hi there!  It's a very snowy Sunday here in NH and I'm keeping busy with all the Christmas prep!  I'm finally feeling better today so I'm trying to finish up all I can :)  Today I want to share my project for my Guest Designer position at The Crafty Pad this week!  I got to work with their newest image "RoShell."  I think she's a cutie, don't you?  I made this very warm, colorful card and threw in these awesome jeweled droplet brads where the raindrops are in the image.  I used glitter gel to color the umbrella and the puddle. The rest is colored with watercolor pencils.  The challenge this week at The Crafty Pad is "Stitching."  I did a faux stitch on the center square.  Thanks for stopping by today and be sure to visit tomorrow for a big Whimsy post!

The following challenges are covered here:

Creative Card Crew- Anything Goes
Charisma Cardz- Anything but Christmas
CRAFT- Free for all
Kraftin' Kimmie- Sparkle
