Friday Challenges!

Hello there and Happy Weekend!  I'm so glad it's's been a LONG week!  Today I have 2 posts for the challenge at Stamp Something!  This week (and next!) we have 2 sponsors for our Thankful theme.  Soft Pencil and Cardmad Fairy!  They have provided us with some ADORABLE images for inspiration!  My card for Soft Pencil is "Looking for My Friend."  I chose Christmas images because I am always in need of thank you cards for Christmas gifts from our customers (my FT job).  The second image is "Cosy Snowman."  I wanted to use as much white as possible on this...he just was screaming for glitter!  So I delievered :)  I hope you have time to jog on over to the rest of the DT's blogs to see what they did with their images!  And I hope to see you play at Stamp Something!

It's another Whimsy Challenge!

Hope everyone had a good weekend! At Whimsy this week, we have another challenge for you.  Anything but a card!  Simple, right?  Hahaha!  Well let's see what you come up with!  I made a little luminary.  I saw a tutorial on SCS, so I decided to try my own.  I bought some bags at the dollar store in the wedding section.  They were too flimsy, but I opened one and used it as a template. I used a SU wheel to stamp the pine boughs with Versa Mark and then heat embossed with white powder.  I then cut holes using a circle cutter and template.  I taped scraps of vellum inside.  The image is one of the newer Whimsy winter raccoons.  I colored with watercolor pencils and tacky glue and chunky white glitter on the snowy parts.  I adhered them with 3D foam squares.  Finally, I tied a bow and attached the charm with a snowflake brad.  Too cute, huh?  Thanks for checking it out and I hope you look at all the fabulous DT projects!  Happy Monday!
