Birthday Something

Hello! I've been feeling under the weather all day so I decided to make a cheery birthday card to participate in the Stamp Something Challenge Blog. I used the Sugar Nellies Image "Winifred" to create this bright and happy birthday card! I found the background paper and embellishments at JoAnn's Fabrics. I colored the image with colored pencils and white ice Stickles. I used a mini-alphabet stamp set to stamp the sentiment in coordinating Stampin' Up inks. Hope you like it. Good night!

PTW and Arty Girlz Challenges

This post is my entry for the Papertake Weekly Sketch Challenge and the Arty Girlz Challenge Blog "Button" challenge. I used a butter yellow, mellow moss and artichoke greens and a cream color. The stamp set was "Merci" from Stampin Up. I used buttons from different makers and a saftey pin. The butterfly is embellished with White Ice Stickles. The yellow cardstock was embossed with the paisley folder for my new Cuttlebug...I'm addicted to it! Thanks for stopping by!

Whimsy Blackness Challenge

This is my card for the Whimsy Stamps Blackness Challenge on Paper Craft Planet. I missed Stamp Club this week, but met up with Denise (owner of Whimsy Stamps) to stamp for fun! This card is one they did a variation of for stamp club. I altered it to what I wanted. The picture is poor quality for the detail (still no good camera!) but the baby seal is colored with Elmers 3-D glue pens in the white sparkle color. The rest of the details, I'm unsure of except for the Whimsy Animals Collection image of the baby seal :) These were all of Denise's supplies! Thanks again, Denise!

Whiff of Joy Challenge

Hello! It's been a while since my last posts...I've been lax! But I spent some time with my very best friend, Denise (owner of WhimsyStamps.com) and we worked on a couple of challenge projects. This is the first I'm going to share! This image is from Whiff of Joy and the challenge was to use an image and green and purple. I hate coloring...but I think she's cute! I'm not sure of the actual names of any of the colors or embellishment names...but it was fun to make! Thanks for checking it out!

Christmas!

Hello! I am very lax about getting my work photographed and loading it on here. I am sans a digital camera now! Hopefully, Santa heard my cry for help! So in the meantime, here are my cell photos:

I love this cat stamp...it looks VERY similar to my little "Biddy!" I colored the eyes green with a blender pen, and used white ice stickles to color her fur. I used a 2" scalloped circle punch to punch the image, and then glued a green circle to mount behind it. I used a multi sized word window punch to do the sentiment and "frame" it and a ribbon punch to tie the ribbon through. I used a stitching border stamp to line the edges of the cards. I think that's all! Thanks for stopping by and have a very Happy Holiday!

Simple Something

This is the card I made for the Stamp Something Challenge Blog. The challenge was to use only one layer...tough one! So I went with a navy cardstock, punched some silver snowflakes and embellished them with silver and white Stickles (my FAVORITE thing!) I used a metal tag and attached with a jeweled brad and some white ribbon. I also stamped a stitching stamp with VersaMark and silver embossing powder along the edge of the card. I used a Stampin' Up stamp from the Window to the World set. Sorry about the weird pic. I really need a better camera!

Jessicas

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by! Today I'm posting a couple of cards. The first is a card I made (many of) for my cousin, Jessica, who is expecting. I made these multi-use cards in pink, green and cream and gave them as part of her shower gift. They can be used as thank you cards or as birth announcements. I left a loose card stamped with baby themed info stamp in coordinating colors and ribbon. The stamps were from Stampin' Up, I used the Cuttlebug to emboss the background.

The second card is a birthday card for my friend's daughter, Jessica. She is turning 10 and she's into funky, bright and loud! So I made this "tie dyed" retro flower card. I used a lime green textured cardstock as the base. The floral background and cut outs are from a pre-printed card I received from a friend. I embellished the flowers with glue on rhinestones. The next layer is a piece of white cardstock that I saturated with water, then dropped ink refill droppers on the paper and let the water bleed on it's own. I dried it with the heat gun to set it. I cut corners from scrap cardstock. Finally, the center metal tag was embellished with a white rub-on "j" and a flower brad. That's all for today! Thanks for stopping by :)
