Bridal Shower Gift Card Holder Card

Hello! So happy for the weekend, how about you?  I am posting this card that I am giving to a friend for her bridal shower.  She is getting married to a fabulous guy this month in the Dominican Republic!  Destination weddings are the thing...but I couldn't afford the trip!  So I made this card with a slight "tropical" feel by using "Cool Caribbean" SU ink.  The dress and sentiment are from a SU set.  I stamped with Whisper White Craft ink and embossed with white embossing powder.  I colored with reinker and a water pen.  I finished it with some Glossy Accents and white super fine sparkle.  The layers are embossed with different CB folders (Victoria and Swiss Dots).  I photographed a close up to try to capture the sparkle.  The other photos are from the inside of the card...I made the left side a gift card holder which will be filled tomorrow!  Thanks for stopping by today and I'll see you soon!

My Final Post for MyGrafico

Happy Wednesday!  Today I am posting for my final challenge with MyGrafico.  I have only been on the DT for 3 months, but I had to narrow down my responsibilities with my full time job and my side jobs being so busy.  So it was with a heavy heart I gave my notice.  So without further ado...here's my last project:

This week we are working with this adorable Spring set from Cocoa Studio.  I used K&Co paper, stickers, a pearl button and 2 button brads and the sheer scalloped ribbon.  The image is colored with watercolor pencils.

Thanks so much for stopping by and please visit the rest of the DT for more to see!

A Step Back in Time...

Happy Tuesday!  It's a new challenge at Creative Card Crew!  We are going Vintage!  Our sponsor this week is:

They kindly donated some images for us to work with!  I used "A Helping Hand," to make a card for my younger brother's 30th birthday!  I love this image so much! It just felt perfect for the occasion!  I dyed the white cardstock with black tea. I  wrinkled it, resoaked it and then ironed it dry.  I then inserted it in the printer to print the image.  I colored the image with Copics in brown tones to authenticate the aged look. I finished it with the buttons and the gold toned brads!

Please visit the rest of the DT for some more inspiration!

An Easter Card

Hi there!  Today I whipped up this quick Easter card so I can have at least one to give my parents on Easter! I stamped this Sugar Nellie in Memento and colored with Copics.  Not my best effort :(  I cut the circle by drawing with a compass and cutting out.  I distressed the edge with Close to Cocoa SU ink.  The background scalloping was done with decorative edge scissors.  The paper is DCWV and the buttons just happened to coordinate perfectly!  Hope you like :)

Another Brother's Birthday

So this is birthday season in my family. I have 3 brothers...all born in March and April. So today I'm posting the second card in the set...lol!  This is for my oldest brother's birthday next week.  I went with Dress Me Ian and colored him and the clothing with Copics.  The layout is from Crazy 4 Challenges.  I used My Mind's Eye paper and the acetate is embossed with a Quikutz folder.  The second photo shows the detail a bit better.  The sentiment is from SU and the sentiment charm I got a Building #19.  I hope you like it!

Whimsy Inspirations

Happy Sunday, Everyone! Today I want to quickly share a card I made a while back but never got to posting.  It was just for fun, but now I have a reason to post it!  I took a turn hosting the Inspiration at Whimsy's Inspiration Blog!  I made this card using "Shy Ann" from the mythical collection by Katie Sowa.  I just love this little one!  I love her big eyes! I colored her with Copics and gold Stickles.  The flowers are from Wild Orchids and Michaels.  The background "paper" is actually a napkin that I originally bought to do the felted cardstock technique, but my plastic wrap was not cooperating! I used 2 SU oval punches, 1 McGillis branch punch and a corner punch for the center squares.  The ribbon is from a surplus store in my area. The sentiment is from Whimsy's "Spring Stepping" set.  I hope you love her as much as I do!  And please check out Whimsy's Inspiration blog now to get your Whimsy mojo flowing!
