More Halloween!

Hi All!  Today I am posting a Halloween card to send out tomorrow to my friend's son.  He's six, so I wanted it to be fun and spooky!  I used this adorable Dustin Pike image and colored it some fun colors.  I've been dying to try out this technique on a card, and this was my chance!  The technique is "Felted Cardstock."  I found these cute napkins at Joann's and followed the instructions I got from Split Coast.  I LOVE it!  I will be buying out napkins everywhere!  So fun!  I embossed the orange strip with CB Skeleton Scroll.  The sentiment is from a set.  Inside is decorated too...I wanted to add the candy corn border somewhere, but didn't want to cover my skeletons :)  So that's that!  Hope you like...but I hope the recipient likes it best :)  Happy Stamping!  Be back tomorrow with a Whimsy Card!

Halloween card

Hey there!  Quick post as I am exhausted!  This is a card I made to fit the tons of Halloween challenges out there!  I started with the sketch from PTW.  I picked some fun fall paper, coordinating colors and went to town!  I made the patchwork pumpkin with some scrap papers.  I heat embossed the jack o' lantern face to make it show up...not my greatest work, but I still love the "rustic" charm ;)  The face is a new stamp I just bought really cheap and the sentiment is from a clear set I got at Joann's.  I finished it off with a handmade stem and leaf and some raffia ribbon with a couple coordinating buttons.  Hope you like him!  Thanks for stopping by!

This card fits the following challenges:
Papertake Weekly- Sketch
Cupcake Crafts-Halloween/Spooky
SPCC "Finally Friday"-Embossing
Stamp With Fun- Halloween
Everybody Art Challenge- Halloween
Cute Card- Spookfest (Halloween)

Monday, Monday!

Hi and thanks for stopping by!  Another weekend over, another Monday is here!  Today brings another Whimsy Challenge! This week, we want to see some embossing on your projects!  I went with the sketch over at The Crafty Pad. I colored Connor on the bike image with watercolor pencils and a water pen.  I highlighted with a white gel pen.  I used clear embossing powder on his helmet and bike.  I also embossed the sentiment in blue powder.  The papers are all from DCWV.  The brads were in my stash.  Thanks for stopping by today and please visit the rest of the Whimsy DT!  Happy Monday!

Stamp Something Friday :)

Happy Friday!  Boy am I glad this is the end of the week!  I worked on the "holiday" on Monday this week, but I have next Monday off!  So this week was worth the trouble :)  Today is the newest challenge at Stamp Something!  We want to see BLING!  So I made this snazzy card using my newest Greeting Farm image!  She's such a little Diva!  I started with the sketch from Sketch Saturday. I used all sorts of bling for this!  I used some red glue on rhinestones, glittered DP, sequined ribbon, Stickles and the silver sentiment.  The embellies are button brads and Prima's.  I also CB'd the red pieces with D'vine Swirls.  The sentiment is set on a scalloped and circle punch.  "Megan" is colored with watercolor pencils, Stickles, white gel pen and black journaling pen (to try and fix the bleeding!) I love the bold colors and this card screams fun!  Hope you love it as much as I do :)  Please run over to check out the rest of the DT samples!  Have a great Friday!

This card fits the following challenges:

Sketch Saturday:  Sketch
Everybody Art:  Shape or Punches
Creative Card Crew:  Scallops
Stamp Something:  Bling
One Stop Crafts:  Birthdays

Second post...

Hi again!  Here's the second card I promised.  I made this to fit a few challenges and see what else I could do without all of my own tools and embellishments.  So here it is! I used the sketch from Sketch and Stash.  I followed the SPCC "Finally Friday" challenge of "Flowers." Everybody Art Challenge was "Shape or Punches," and I used flower punches.  My Time to Craft was Quick and Cute and a DT call!  This card, though following a sketch challenge, was super quick to put together, and I don't know about you, but I think it's cute :)  ABC challenge is "F is for Flying," and butterflies fly!  Gingersnap was brads. Three Clovers is "nature." Bizzy Bec's was scrap DP's and handmade flowers.  I think that's all!  I'm done for the evening, but please come on back tomorrow morning for my Stamp Something project!  Have a fantastic night!

Experimenting away from home...

So I was dog-sitting for my friend's parents for a couple of days.  I didn't bring any of my "creating supplies" with me except for my colored pencils and Xacto knife.  I raided the supplies in her mother's stamping stash and came up with a couple of cards.  This one is the one I sent to Giovana on the Stamp Something DT for her neighbor, Bekah, whom she is doing a card drive for.  Please check out Giovana's blog for more info on brightening the day of a young girl! I wanted a cute and cuddly image, so the Whimsy bear stamp fit the bill.  The Basic Grey papers give it a cozy "quilt" feel too!  Hope she likes it :)

So the card:

Stamp With Fun:  Sketch
SPCC- Finally Friday-Flowers
Pollycraft-Tangerine, Turquoise and Chocolate (I used the closest colors I had!)
Gingersnap-Brads
Charisma Cardz- Distressing (the center strip was distressed with scissors on the edges)
Three Clovers- Nature (the bear...may be a stretch :))

Thanks for stopping by today!  Come back later for another piece I did...and tomorrow for a new Stamp Something Challenge!
