The next card is a baby card for a cousin who just had her second child! It's another boy, so I tried to make it less girly! I used the sketch from Sketch & Stash. The image is the cutest little hippo! I thought it was perfect for the background paper :) Simon Says called for stitching. Secret Crafter has an Animal Antic challenge! I think that's all today...now off to do REAL work :) Thanks for stopping by!

Whimsy!
Monday again, ho hum! But it means new challenges! Over at Whimsy this week, it's "The Eyes Have It!" We'd like to see you use eyelets on your project! I went with Rainy Day Emma from the Whimsy Kids Collection for this card. I used the sketch from Everybody Art Challenge. I used the sewing machine to stitch the border of the background paper to fit the Simon Says challenge of stitching. Lala Land wanted to see paper piecing, so I paper pieced her dress and the umbrella. I used some ribbon through my eyelets to fit the Paper Maniac challenge. I finished up the image with water color pencils, some glitter paint and paper glittered flowers. Thanks for stopping by and please check out the rest of the DT's cards. Also, while you're at Whimsy, please look at the Teddy for Paige Digi image for sale to support a worthy cause! $3.00 can really help a little girl and her family! Thanks and have a FANTASTIC day!!!

I'm featured!!!
Hello everyone, and Happy Sunday :) I had a great time last night at the concert with my mom. We had a fabulous dinner at a small family restaurant and though chilly, the concert was amazing! I'll be scrapping a page soon to show you! First order of business today is to mention that I am featured on The Divine Influence blog! I am SO excited! The ladies over there are SO SWEET! Stamp Something!
It's FRIDAY!!! WOOOHOOO!!!! That means a new challenge at Stamp Something (and it means TOMORROW is Alan Jackson!!!!) Okay, so the challenge at Stamp Something this week is Favorite Sketch or Layout. Choose your favorite card design! I chose an old sketch from another blog...wish I could remember which (and too lazy to go find it in the pile!) I used some Christmas paper from Rusty Pickle for the background and the sentiment. The image is my newest Greeting Farm image "Skater Ian." I love him! He looks naughty, but my guess is Santa will still deliver :) I wanted to make something appropriate for the nephews for Christmas. Thanks so much for stopping by and please stop over at the rest of the DT's pages for more inspiration!

Last one for the day.
Okay...so this one I started this weekend and then finished this afternoon, using a sketch from Sketch Saturday. I wanted to make a winter card to build my collection for distributing to friends and family this year, and while I was at it, I wanted to fit some challenges! So the snowflake theme was for Allsorts. The embossing on the snowflakes was for Basic Gray Challenges. I put a pearl necklace on the Whimsy Seal and lots of pearl accents to make it girly for the Secret Crafter Saturday challenge "for the girls." Finally, I went with tons of distressing to fit the Daring Cardmakers "Shabby chic" challenge and the "shabby" challenge at Everybody Art Challenge, and finally the Distressing Techniques challenge at Cupcake Craft. I know it fits more challenges, but I think I'm done trying to figure them out for today :) Thanks for stopping by again!
A card for Chase...
Hello again. So this is a card for my 13 year-old nephew. He was injured pretty seriously in a bicycle accident. He tried to land a jump and instead, landed in the hospital with a lacerated liver and fractured forearm...poor kid! He's home now, recovering. So I thought I'd send a card to wish him well! I don't have much that works with boys his age, so I did my best! I used the sketch from Friday Sketchers. I embossed the sentiment on the tag and inside the card. The image, GF "Edward," is colored with watercolor pencils and highlighted with white gel pen. The edges of the tag and the pocket are distressed with a sanding sponge to fit Cupcake Craft's challenge. I did some faux stitching and doodling to fit the challenges over at Papertake Weekly and Three Clovers (respectively). The pocket fits the challenge over at Cute Card Thursday "hidden treasures." The ribbon qualifies over at Paper Maniac's challenge. The embellishments (and they are aplenty!) fit the LaLa Land challenge. I think that's it for now! One more to come in a bit! Thanks for stopping by :)
Whimsy Challenge!
Happy Monday! I'll be posting a few today, but the first is for Whimsy Stamps Challenge! Our challenge this week is "Button, Button. Who's got a Button?" So obviously, we'd like to see buttons on your creation! I went with a fun fall themed belated birthday card! I used the Owl from Whimsy Animals collection and colored him in watercolor pencils. I used some fun papers and lots of coordinating buttons and some eyelets! I want to tell you that the pic is not great, but by this weekend, I will be getting a camera so the picture quality WILL FINALLY improve! Thanks for checking it out! And please drop by Whimsy to check out the other DT samples!
