New Stamps!

I got an order of 3 Whiff of Joy stamps in the mail today...along with my supply of Tombow refills. I was going crazy using a glue stick! Anyway, I decided to use my Dreamy Willow stamp to play along with the Cute Card Thursday's eyelet challenge and A Spoon Full Of Sugar's swirls challenge. I colored Willow with watercolor pencils in red and blue and highlighted the colors in the base of the card and some Basic Grey paper. I embellished with red and blue assorted eyelets, Prima flowers, a swirl paper clip and a silver book plate with a SU sentiment. Thanks for visiting and please come back! I'm on a roll!

The Big 50

Hi again! Today I have a quick post before heading out to a 50th birthday party for a family friend. It's a surprise party, and the big gift is the biggest part of the surprise! My brother and his best friend have been restoring a car for his friend's Dad. So in honor of the work they did on the car, and the birthday boy's love for muscle cars, I did a 70's Plymouth Duster. I found the image on the web and colored it with watercolored pencils and accented it with glitter glue and clear glue. The card was made using the sketch for ABC Challenge which was including an "X." It also fits the "eye eye" challenge on Cute Card Thursday. All of the other embellies are buttons and brads. And the license plate reads "Big 50." Thanks for checking it out and have a great day!

Fairy Nice Card!

Hello! Today my post is my first for Stamp Something's Design team :) In one week's time, I've been invited to the DT's of Whimsy Stamp Challenges AND Stamp Something Challenge! It's a very exciting time for me and a brand new adventure! I look forward to creating with a purpose :) This card is for the "Winged Somethings" challenge for SS. The sponsor this week is Fred She Said which has FABULOUS digital images! This is one of the fairies. This card also fits with the Sketch and Stash challenge! I used Basic Grey papers, Prima flowers, white Ice Stickles and some other random embellies. The teal cardstock is embossed using a Quickutz folder. Thanks for stopping by! Be back soon!

Princess for Challenges

Hi there! This post was a labor of love! I started it last night with the intent of focusing on one challenge, and it turned into several others! It was so much work that I tore it down today and started part of it over. I know, I'm obsessive! Anyway, the image is "Princess Emma," from the Whimsy Kids collection. I made the card to fit the following challenges: Pile it On- Mostly Orange, Mojo Monday-Sketch (I flipped it over), Kaboodle Doodles-Buttons and Bows, A Spoonful of Sugar-Swirls, and Cute Card Thursday-Eye for an Eye Eyelet challenge (although my eyelets are not part of the spotlight!) I embellished with ribbon, paper clips, a button, golden glitter glue, and paper flowers. Thanks for checking it out!

Monday, Monday!

Hello again! Today is an exciting day for me as I was asked to join the Design Team for Whimsy Challenges! I'm very excited to have this opportunity and can't wait to get started! So of course, I was in the mood to get creating! I started with the layout for Mojo Monday's sketch. I took on a "challenge" from my friend who gave me some Basic Grey papers that she didn't know what to do with. I thought I'd make a bright, fun, summery colored card. The image is a Gorjuss Girl that I colored in watercolored pencils. I embellished with some adhesive rhinestones, a heart shaped paperclip and some bright flowers layered and joined with a rhinestone brad. The challenge for Whiff of Joy was to do paper piercing, but I didn't use the WOJ images (oops!) and Roses on Paper Challenge is "summer/vacation." Again, theme fits, but didn't use an image that fits the challenge (oops again!) I hope you like her anyway :)
