It's been a while...
Hello All! Sorry I've been away so long for those of you who check in on my projects! I haven't had a whole lot of stampin' mojo these days but I have been attempting to keep track of my projects that I do get to! Today I am posting a couple of projects from last week. The first is the card I made for my dear friend, Miss Ashley for her baby shower. She is due at the end of May and is having a girl! Her shower was great fun, and I must say that she and her sister, Allison, are the BEST gift opening team ever! It was the quickest unwrapping I have ever witnesses! I may have to hire them for our family events ;) Anyway, the card is on a rusty red, textured base. The next layer is white, embossed with Versa mark and white embossing powder umbrellas from a SU set. I cut a small, SU Bashful Blue rectangle and then a smaller floral print paper next. I wrapped organdy ribbon and tied in a knot. I used white cardstock to stamp in blue "your shower" and set it into a metal book plate and attached it to the cardstock using gemstone brads.
The next image is one of the Thank You cards I made as a gift for Ashley. Her theme is "love bug" from Babies R Us, so I went with a cute little bug theme. I've found that a lot of people don't use the cards for what I made them for, so I made these less "baby" and more plain. I used blue cardstock as the base, then layered white cardstock which I CB embossed using the stylized flowers folder. Next I layered the same red color as the shower card and the floral print paper. I used the sheer ribbon as an accent. Then I punched small circles on white, and stamped the cute little SU ladybug holding a tulip. I colored her with markers and embellished her with 3d paint pens on the dots and the flower. I then punched scalloped circles and overlapped them in green and blue, and adhered the ladybug on top. I used 3d dots to adhere to the card. Thanks for bearing with all my chatter and stopping by today! I'll have more tomorrow :)
