Friday is here!!!
Happy Friday! That means a new challenge at Stamp Something! The challenge this week is to use your favorite stamp or set on your creation! I chose a new favorite image for mine...a birthday gift from my dearest friend! I followed the sketch challenge from Truly Scrumptious (with summer as the theme), the Color Throwdown challenge "regal rose, almost artichoke and chocolate chip," and the Charisma Cardz challenge of swirls, curls and hearts. I colored this sweet image with water color pencils and highlighted with a white pen. The embossing is with CB divine swirls. The papers are heart patterns from Basic Grey's "Bittersweet" pack. Crystal brads, glitter paint and half pearls added some extra elements. And finally the charm is a small heart with a flower. It is going to Paige Welch...wishing her well! Please see the last post or click here for more about Paige. Thank you for stopping by.

An Important Message
Hello. I don't have a card to post tonight...it'll be here in the morning :) But I'm posting this as a favor. My friend and fellow stamper, Erin, has asked us to take part in a good deed. A neighbor of hers was in an accident and has suffered some major injuries. She is a young girl and the family is in need of some support. Erin is leading a rally of kindness for this young lady and her family. She is hosting a card drive and you have the opportunity to earn some blog candy for taking part. For all of the details, including the newspaper article, please click: http://scrapstampandbemerry.blogspot.com/2009/09/looking-for-some-help-please-ladies.html This is Erin's blog and you will find all of the information there. Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to read this. Good evening!

More challenges
Hello! Today I am posting another card I had started yesterday, but had to finish today because I really couldn't decide which image fit the style of the card. I started with a window set up with 2 papers (inside is a paper that looks like lace). Then I added the ribbon and pearls. Once I chose the buttons, I felt stumped on the image. So today, I checked some of the challenges for Tuesday, and the fairy fit a challenge! So here it is! The colors photographed way off...the blues actually DO match. Sorry about that!
It fits the following challenges:
Digital Tuesday: Lace, Pearls and a Digital Image
Everybody Art Challenge: Blue and brown (that's why she has brown hair)
Papertake Weekly: Angels and Fairies
Cute Daisy May: Thank You
Cupcake Craft: 3 buttons, 2 papers, 1 ribbon
Secret Crafter Saturday: Flights of Fancy (wings)
Thanks for stopping by today :)

Monday Challenges (plus some!)
Hi again! Today, my intent was to cover as many Monday blog challenges as possible. However, I got distracted cleaning my house, so I only got one card done :( But I did cover several challenges with it! I started with the sketch from Stamp with Fun. Once I added the flowers, it looked an awful lot like the sketch from Sketch and Stash as well! Cute Daisy May's challenge was "thank you." And Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge is "flights of fancy" (something with wings.) I colored this sweet little fairy with watercolor pencils and a water pen. I highlighted with white gel pen and teal glitter paint. I used assorted flowers, a Quickutz embossing folder, rhinestone brads, designer brads and the silver bookplate. The sentiment is hand written with coordinating marker. The DSP's are SU. Thanks for visiting! Come back soon!
Whimsy Challenge
Happy Monday to you! Today for the new challenge at Whimsy is "Touchy Feely". We want to see some texture, embossing, flocking or anything that adds dimension to your project! I did a simple layout for mine, just winging it. The image is Pajama time Emma from Whimsy Kids collection. I paper pieced her jammies using the same paper as the background paper. The stuffed puppy she's holding, I added fluffy white glitter to him to add texture. The tan paper is CB'ed with the Stylized Flowers folder and edges distressed in brown. I threw on the paper flowers and used a copper brad, the wide cream ribbon, 2 copper rectangle paper clips and 3 brown eyelets. The sentiment is from SU. Thanks for stopping by today and please visit the other DT member's blogs! ***This card also fits the challenge "cute and cuddly," over at One Stop Craft Challenge, Pile it On's "round" challenge (brad and eyelets), and ABC's "c is for circle" challenge. :)

Trying something different...
Hi there! Today is a blah day for me. Our family has been dealing with some stress, so I thought I'd mosey over to a few new blog challenges and see if I could be inspired to cheer up. So, I found this challenge over at Scrap and Stamp Saturday. They wanted a scrapbook page about where you craft and had to include chipboard. Well, my problem is there's no color ink left in my printer. So I had to go black and white. That was the inspiration for the colors of the page. I used the sketch for Lili of the Valley as my plan. Fortunately, Charisma Cardz challenge is "Scrap it," this week too! Truly Scrumptious said anything but a card and ABC's is circles. And finally, the challenge over at Simon Says is "back to school." While I don't have anything to do with school, per se, the background paper, as well as the colors, can be associated with school...a stretch?? I tried ;) So this is my creation. I tried to use things in my stash I haven't used before. I hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by and seeing my first (posted) scrapbook page! Please ignore the quality of the pictures...I'm still working from my cell phone!
