Scrap attempt...

Hi again, All!  Tonight is a quick post that I did for Scrap and Stamp Saturday.  The theme this week was "love." So I used my cats as my inspiration!  The pics are old...as the tiger cat in the pics passed away several years ago.  But the 2 were inseparable!  So I thought they were purrfect ;) for my subject matter!  I used some DSP from DCVW.  This layout was taken from Sketch Saturday.  Thanks for coming back!  See you soon!

Whimsy and more...

Hello and Happy Monday to you all!  I hope everyone is enjoying their Labor Day weekend!  It's been a gorgeous one here!  I spent Saturday at the lake with my parents, Sunday afternoon with all of my siblings, nieces and nephews and today is just hanging out doing work around the house!  In my free time I put together my card for this week's Whimsy Stamp Challenge!  The challenge is to have sewing on your piece.  It can be real or faux.  So my card was made to fit with several challenges this week!  My stitching is hard to see on the picture but I used a blue thread and the zigzag stitch.  You'll see why in the challenge list to follow :)  The image is the fabulous Whimsy Stamps Alligator who I embossed with the CB tiny mosaic folder and embellished with a red bow.  The sentiment is using a mini alphabet set from the dollar bin at Ben Franklin.  Thanks for stopping by and please feel free to drop over to see the works of the rest of the DT!

Friday is here!!!

Happy Friday!  That means a new challenge at Stamp Something!  The challenge this week is to use your favorite stamp or set on your creation!  I chose a new favorite image for mine...a birthday gift from my dearest friend!  I followed the sketch challenge from Truly Scrumptious (with summer as the theme), the Color Throwdown challenge "regal rose, almost artichoke and chocolate chip,"  and the Charisma Cardz challenge of swirls, curls and hearts.  I colored this sweet image with water color pencils and highlighted with a white pen.  The embossing is with CB divine swirls.  The papers are heart patterns from Basic Grey's "Bittersweet" pack.  Crystal brads, glitter paint and half pearls added some extra elements. An Important Message

More challenges

Hello!  Today I am posting another card I had started yesterday, but had to finish today because I really couldn't decide which image fit the style of the card.  I started with a window set up with 2 papers (inside is a paper that looks like lace).  Then I added the ribbon and pearls.  Once I chose the buttons, I felt stumped on the image.  So today, I checked some of the challenges for Tuesday, and the fairy fit a challenge!  So here it is! The colors photographed way off...the blues actually DO match.  Sorry about that!
